VPNs are the most common reason age verification behaves unexpectedly, in both directions.
You're prompted when you didn't expect to be. Your VPN is placing you in a region that requires verification. If you're required to verify because of where you're actually connecting from, please do complete it — it's a one-time check and takes a couple of minutes.
The verification won't complete. Turn the VPN off and try again. If you rely on a VPN to reach SpicyChat at all, try a UK server, where providers are reliably available.
Once your account is verified it stays verified, regardless of where you connect from afterwards.
If you can't reach SpicyChat without a VPN — which affects users in some regions where local ISPs restrict adult or foreign sites — see article 8.14.
