A Lorebook is a private knowledge library for your character — background, timelines, locations, relationships, world rules.
Why it's better than a long definition. Lorebook content is pulled in only when relevant, triggered by keywords you assign. So you get depth without permanently consuming context. A definition holds everything all the time; a Lorebook holds it in reserve.
Capacity: up to 5,000 entries, each up to 2,000 characters. If you fill one entry, create another.
Currently Lorebooks work with private characters only. Public Lorebooks are planned.
If a Lorebook won't save, check:
- Any error message shown
- Whether it appears under My Creations → Lorebooks
- Whether it also fails on the app
- That your browser is up to date
