My drafts have disappeared

Character drafts are saved locally on your device, in the browser or app you created them in. They aren't stored on our servers.

That means drafts are lost if you:

• Clear your browser cache, or run cleaning software
• Create them in Incognito or Private browsing — drafts aren't saved at all in these modes
• Switch to a different browser or device
• Uninstall or clear data on the Android app

Unfortunately lost drafts can't be recovered.

To avoid it: save work-in-progress characters as Private rather than leaving them as drafts. A private character is stored on your account, available on any device, and you can publish it when you're ready.

Before updating or reinstalling the Android app, make sure any drafts are saved as private characters first.
