If you reach the verification screen but there are no providers to choose from, your network is being placed in a region where verification is required but where no provider can actually serve you.
The usual causes:
- A VPN, proxy or privacy relay placing you somewhere unexpected
- Your ISP or mobile carrier routing your traffic through another region
- Being physically near a border with a region that requires verification
Try these:
- Turn off any VPN, proxy, iCloud Private Relay, or Tor.
- Turn on location services on your device, then reload SpicyChat.
- Get a new IP address — restart your router, or toggle airplane mode on and off to reconnect mobile data.
- If you use a VPN by necessity, try a UK server. UK providers are the most reliably available, and the process usually completes cleanly from there.
If it still shows nothing
Contact us with:
- The country you're in — and the state, if you're in the US
- Whether you were using a VPN, and which one
- Which browser you're using
- Whether you use iCloud Private Relay, Brave, DuckDuckGo or Tor
- A screenshot of your detected IP location from a site such as nordvpn.com/what-is-my-ip
The IP location screenshot is the single most useful thing you can send us — it tells us immediately whether region detection is the problem.
