My character was flagged and I think it's wrong

Our auto-moderator is automated, so false positives happen. We'd rather it occasionally over-flags than miss something serious, but we know that's frustrating when it's your work.

First, try to isolate the cause

Article 6.4 has the full diagnostic. In short:

• Temporarily replace the description with "Adult person" to find out whether it's the text or the image
• Make sure adult ages are stated explicitly, and write numbers as words
• Try a different avatar, ideally head-to-hips rather than a close headshot

Request a manual review

If you're confident there's no breach and it keeps failing, keep resubmitting. After around 3–4 attempts, the system offers to send your character to a human moderator.

If it's already been removed

Contact us with:

1. The character's name and title
2. The greeting
3. The full personality / description
4. The avatar you used
5. The notice you received, and what specifically you're disputing

We can't recover a character that moderators have deleted. If you still have a copy of the description, send it and we'll tell you exactly what needs changing so the next version passes.

A moderator who wasn't part of the original decision reviews your appeal. You'll get a written outcome either way.

Most appeals are declined, because most original decisions are correct. But we do overturn them, and if we decline we'll tell you specifically what would need to change. If a change is possible we'll say so — and if it isn't, we'll tell you that plainly rather than leave you resubmitting.

Keep a copy of your character descriptions. It's the single most useful thing you can do to protect your own work.
